Not sure a product is working?

Before you return anything, talk to us. Your message goes to the same clinic team who developed the range. Our medical skin therapist will look at how you're using the product and help you adjust. Sometimes a small change is all it takes.

Choosing Your Skincare

I don't know where to start. Which products are right for me?

Book a Virtual Skin Assessment with our medical skin therapist. She'll look at your skin and tell you exactly which products to use and how. You can also browse The Routines page, where each routine is built for a specific skin concern, or WhatsApp us and we'll point you in the right direction.

Can I buy Epitology in a shop?

You can buy Epitology online at epitology.com, or at selected skin clinics. See our Clinic Stockists page to find one near you.

Can Epitology treat a skin condition?

No. Epitology is a cosmetic skincare range. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition. If you have, or think you may have, a skin condition such as rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, acne or dermatitis, see a doctor or dermatologist for diagnosis and treatment. Do not use Epitology in place of any treatment prescribed by your doctor. If you develop a rash, swelling, burning or blistering, or your skin gets worse, stop using the product and seek medical advice.

Can I use Epitology if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?

Avoid Rejuvenate, as it contains retinoids. Our other products don't, but check with your doctor before starting any new skincare.

Is Epitology fragrance free and cruelty free?

Yes, both. Fragrance is one of the most common triggers for reactive skin, so none of our products contain it.

Where are the products made?

In South Africa, by an ISO 22716 certified manufacturer, to formulas set by the clinic team. ISO 22716 is the international standard for how cosmetics are made, handled and stored. We did not make these products in the back room of the clinic in the sink, if that is what you are asking...

How were the products tested?

Hundreds of patients at Dr Orrey Derma Clinic used and gave feedback on our formulas over three years, including patients with sensitive and redness-prone skin. Each product was changed and improved based on what they told us about results, texture and how it felt to use.

Who is behind Epitology?

Epitology was developed inside Dr Orrey Derma Clinic, a dermatology practice in Westlake, Cape Town. The range was built by Dr Nicolina Bardou, the clinic's aesthetics doctor, and Debora Gorton, a medical skin therapist with over 20 years of experience. Both still treat patients at the clinic every week.
