Why these ingredients?

Brighten uses 10% mandelic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid with a larger molecular size than acids like glycolic acid. That larger size lets it penetrate your skin more slowly, which is why it tends to be better tolerated if you find stronger exfoliants too irritating.

Mandelic acid supports smoother-looking texture and a more even complexion over time.

Hyaluronic acid supports hydration and helps reduce the dry, tight feeling that can come with over-exfoliation.
